A Weekend with no Agenda

I love weekends, and I have written many articles about my weekends. Here are just a few examples (from the most recent blog post). Click on the texts in red to read the full article.
A Special Weekend: It was a weekend full of action. From Friday to Sunday, I did a lot of activities, mostly according to an agenda—something I like to call a " to-do list." Before the weekend arrives, I usually jot down the things I’d like to do: if the weather is nice, then one set of plans; if not, then another. Most of the time, I follow through with what I’ve planned, and that’s what I call a weekend with an agenda.
A Special Weekend: It recorded my weekend in New York with the kids, and that was planned a month before the weekend arrived.
A Perfect Weekend: It was published on April 29, 2024, and it recorded a few of my "firsts" last year, including a trip to The Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal and Mont Royal.
A Great Weekend: It was published on May 28, 2023. I had a bike ride of 33 km with a friend and I welcomed my son and his girlfriend to Montreal
A Wonderful Weekend: It was the long weekend in May 2023. I went on a 43 km bike ride—it was my first ride of the year.
And I also published the following:
This past weekend, from Friday evening to Sunday, I didn’t plan—it was mostly a weekend with no agenda. Still, I did have the monthly Dim Sum with my colleagues, and this time, we had a full group of eight - four men and four women 😋😋😋
On Friday evening, I cooked a simple dinner for a special person, and to my surprise, he brought me a bouquet🌻🌹🌼. It made me feel truly special and loved 🥰🥰🥰 The movie I borrowed from the library, The House of Flying Daggers, impressed us both—even though it wasn’t my first time watching it.
Saturday morning wasn’t very encouraging, so we decided to walk and bike to the museum. With two new exhibitions on display, we ended up spending a pleasant hour there. It was my second time this year to visit the place 🖼️🖼️🖼️
We had dinner with friends at Greenspot Restaurant. It was my third visit, and just like the previous times, the place was full. I was surprised to find a club sandwich for 2 that costs only $20.95, no wonder the place is always packed - they really offer great deals👍👍👍
After dinner, we enjoyed a chat over drinks with music playing in the background until I faded... 😴😴😴
Sunday was Mother’s Day, my son sent over a few photos taken from my trip to New York last year, along with a message: happy mother’s day mom!!! love you very much. We had a video call with three of us and it lasted for about an hour. We talked and talked, catching up on each other’s lives, and we discussed the possibility of a Christmas gathering. The last time the three of us were together was Christmas 2022, so it feels like it’s about time for a reunion 😊😊😊
We added a trip to Mont Royal on Sunday afternoon—it was our first visit of the year, and it turned out to be perfect. We biked part of the way and docked the Bixi bikes before reaching the base of Mont Royal. Sitting by Beaver Lake under the warm sun, snacking away, had never felt so good.
A trip to the grocery store, followed by a homemade dinner, added even more charm to Sunday evening.
But nothing compared to a Facebook post from my daughter, who shared a heartwarming message: "Grateful to have a mother who is always in my corner. I am perpetually inspired by your optimism, courage, and wisdom. Love you so much".😍😍😍
I love my weekends, no agenda or with an agenda, I love them ALL!
P.S. Today, May 12, also marks the anniversary of our arrival in Canada—back in 1997.
