Since I started working twice a week in the office, I realized I got in the weekend mode sooner.
How so? Let me explain:
Well, the two days in the office are Thursday and Friday. I was more efficient. At home, sometimes there were construction noises or distractions from household chores: hanging laundry, or cleaning up a messy kitchen (I can not stand seeing that whenever I pass by). Things that you don't get when you work in an office.
Walking back home from the office has become something pleasant and enjoyable when the weather permits.
Well, I pass by places that are inviting: like shopping malls or winter attractions.
On Thursday, I stopped by a shoe store and bought two pairs of quality boots, something I was planning on rewarding myself after March 16.
I did it to "bring good luck", as cleverly said by the store owner who practiced French with me. He said he would help me to achieve my goal so I decided to pass by another day just to say hi, and maybe buy more shoes later on 👠👠👡👡👟👟
I did it after I finished work on Friday. We exchanged a few words and we said goodbye.
I was invited to play cards with my friends. They started early afternoon and I joined them at the food court in the same mall.
We played until after 9:30 pm. I got home around 10:00 pm.
Saturday was peaceful, with lots of snow and tranquility.
I started my day by assembling the bench and the piano stand I received the day before.
I went to the library and borrowed a few books on how to play piano. I am getting serious about learning this new hobby, thanks to my friend's generosity.
I went swimming and had one lane all to myself for a good 15 minutes.
Sunday was an eventful day. I had a few activities, each lasting around 2 hours.
dance exercise: 10:20 to 12:30
photo shot and chat with people: 1:30 to 3:30
walking and shopping/eating: 4:00 to 6:00
social dancing: 7:00 to 9:00
I left home at 8:45 am, I arrived home at 10:00 pm.
My watch recorded over 28,000 steps (close to 20 km), that number says a lot.
Each event has its own merit. I enjoyed my second time Sunday morning routine and I liked my first professional photo shot experience. Walking under the sun and chatting with friends was certainly one of my favorite things to do.
What I loved the most is the social dancing which I have missed for so long. It felt so good to dance to the music with some good partners. It was something I used to do every week at one point. There are so many Facebook entries that recorded those good moments. Unfortunately, I let go of a lot of my dance dresses and dance shoes. With this renewed passion, I think that I have to shop again. Photos in the image are from almost ten years ago. Ah, I miss those good old days when I could dance free...
