A New Chapter

“A New Chapter” — that was the title of the blog post I published on May 13 last year when I started this journey with the Canada Water Agency. And today, nearly a year later, it’s time to turn the page again📘📘📘

Today is my last day working with the Canada Water Agency. At 1:30 this afternoon, I received an email saying my director sent me a GroupGreeting eCard.

Twenty people signed the card — that’s almost everyone on the team! My heart was filled with gratitude and appreciation as I read the thoughtful messages from my kind colleagues. I especially enjoyed reading the heartwarming message from my director. I’m sharing her words below (and I’ll check with her tomorrow to make sure she’s okay with me sharing it).

I have been very lucky to have you as my first executive assistant. You have been very patient with me as we learned to work together and ways to improve my organization. You have really supported me and saved me so much time!

I will really miss you and I know that you will do great at your new job. I hope that you will keep in touch and maybe you will want to start step challenges with me? :)

I feel that it has been a privilege to work alongside a dedicated and dynamic team. I have met many wonderful colleagues, and I’ve learned and grown so much during my time here.
