I love weekends and I love writing about them. When I searched "weekend" on my blog, I got the following 8 hits. Each title can lead you to that full article (most of them are just a one-minute read).
I started my role as an Executive Assistant with Health Canada last week and I love this new career chapter. There is so much learning and I love to learn. Learning needs energy and I feel that this has been my busiest job so far. Sometimes I felt that I didn't have time to read all the emails...and this was only the second week 😲😲😲
In short, I NEED the weekend to recharge, rejuvenate and revive 🔋🔋🔋
I wrote down what I wanted to do before the weekend and I did almost all! I was even awarded with some unexpected bonus materials 🥰🥰🥰
Here is the recap:
Sartuday; It was the 16th of this year that we played cards at my home. The fun is the same with added delight: we welcome two ladies who just came back from a 22-days trip to Turkey and Epypt back into our gang. We said good-bye to my neighbor plus one of our regulars because she had to go back to China. She baked a cake🎂🎂🎂 🎂🎂🎂 for us before leaving for airport. We tasted it over delicious Turkish tea and we had lobster🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞 for dinner. One lady is having her birthday pretty soon and I managed to have everyone sign a card and presented to her before the end of the evening. I wasn't sure if it was because of the coffee or the excitement of the game, I couldn't fall asleep for a long time so I booked a movie at midnight for the second day, thought it would be a solo viewing event (it wasn't)
Sunday: The weather wasn't great for going to Botanical Garden, so I modified my plan:
- Museum of Fine Arts: I revisited an interesting exhibition Parall(elles): A History of Women in Design
- On my way to the cinema, I stopped at the little ice cream shop and chatted with my friend + owner over my before-the-movie snack 🥟🥟🥟
- The movie just came out last Friday and I watched it with a friend. We ate our dinner 🥟🥟🥟 while walking to China Town. We both like the movie: Love again, I like the story and these facts: the actor has the killing looks and Celine Dion is in the movie with her songs 📽️📽️📽️
Monday: The weather was perfect for my first biking trip. The ride was pleasant and the conversation was lively. "Social biking" is definitely better than "biking alone". I felt the charm. We did it along the Lachine Canal plus the St. Lawrence River, and we watched the brave souls surfing under the sun. I had 43 km when I got home. I am so ready for Tour de l'Île de Montréal 🚵🚵🚵
Added joy for this long weekend: my daughter left me a 8-minutes voice message on Facebook telling me stories about her fasinating life. my son sent a photo of himself smiling from ear to ear with something holding in his hand. Yeah, he got his Green Card. 😀😀😀
If you read this article on my invite, then Thank YOU!
Thanks you for being a part of my wonderful weekend.
