Abraham Lincoln said: "Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be."
That is why I write about "parenting" on Mondays.
Thinking about my children often put smiles on my face and warmth to my heart.
Isn't there such a saying distance makes the heart grow fonder?
Well, it did allow me to look at things differently. They both have left their nest a while ago and they now live in the same state, not far from each other. That makes me feel that at least they are together, even though they are apart from me.
Writing about them brightens my day and makes me happy.
Monday Delight was my kids' childhood story I told on a gloomy day like today.
A Dream Come True was about my son's first day at Google, the beginning of a brand new chapter of his life.
My Wonderful Children is all about my feelings as a proud mother.
145 is a number's game I played secretly with my daughter. I don't think she has a clue if she hasn't read that article.
Sweet Sixteen documented fond memories of my son. In that blog, I attached my last monthly writing titled "My Sweet Memories of Eric Liu", an article of 20 pages, presented also as his birthday and graduation gift.
Another focus for today: I walked 5 km to Service Canada to make an inquiry in person and get my daily steps out of the way. I killed the two birds with one stone.
What is your Monday focus?
