It might be just a random number for you, but for me, it is something special.
In 2019, my daughter started her "Fragments" on her website, in an attempt to write something new every day, as part of her New Year"s resolution.
She did write something new every day. Her last post was numbered 145. She wrote on May 28, "It was a massive chore at times, but I don’t regret it at all: I learned a lot and got some practice writing (almost 200k words!), and hopefully made some people see the world a little differently. The only real downside is that my wrists started hurting midway through, but I now wear wrist braces, and they kind of make me look like a Pokémon trainer, which is to say, really cool".
While super proud of her perseverance and talent, the image of her wearing wrist braces al the time worries me a bit.
Partly inspired by her, today, I am writing my blog entry #145. I made it doable by limiting words for each post to a 1-minute read (around 300 words). I learned to articulate my thoughts in a short and sweet fashion (at least that is my intention).
Like my daughter, I don't regret it at all: I learned a lot and renewed my passion for writing. I believe that I have also inspired a soul or two.
My daughter didn't continue her Fragments but her first book came out this April. I was told she has started her second book already.
Way to go darling. I am so proud of us both, especially YOU!
