Connecting with Nature

I wrote about A Trip to Mont-Royal on Tuesday, in which I recorded my last visit before this Tuesday was more than two years ago when my sister visited me in the summer.

Today is Thursday, I went back, my second visit this week. I had to take my BMW to get there.

In case you wonder about BMW: B=Bus, M=Metro, W=Walk.

I brought lunch so I had time to sit by the lake and enjoy the tranquillity.

I feel bad for the bird (bottom right photo) who stood patiently the whole time while I was eating my lunch.

He was waiting for me to offer part of my food. I didn't because I shouldn't.

I feel at least the bird deserved a spot in my over photo.

The top left photo is the Mount Royal Cross, a monument on top of Mount Royal. I don't remember when I was that close last but today I got the chance to admire its height from the foot of the cross.

The top right photo is the breathtaking view of the city from a different lookout. It also has been a long time since I took the path to get there. It was not an easy path to climb but totally worth it. Can you see the Olympique Stadium in the distance?

The lake area is my favorite. The reflections of the trees are marvelous. Color changing will soon take over this area and make it more charming and irresistible.

Today's achievement: 30,380 steps = 23.15 km
