No, that is not the news I am talking about, even though a lot of people are nervous about it. I am still a casual worker, not represented by the union at this moment, so the strike does not affect my work. If the strike starts tomorrow and lasts more than a few weeks, I will be affected.
Why? Because of the news I received today. It is something I have been waiting for since earlier this year. It finally came today and went straight to my Inbox 📧📧📧📬📬📬
It made my BEST day for this year so far 🥰🥰🥰
I received my job offer and it came from a prestigious place: Health Canada 🌹🌹🌹
It is not a permanent position but it is the best I have acquired since I started working for the government, also in April two years ago.
I started with Fisheries and Oceans Canada and I worked for various directors, including a Chief Information Officer/General Director. Regardless of relentless efforts, I didn't pass the oral language test and I couldn't make the decision of moving to Ottawa when working two days a week in the office became a requirement☹️☹️☹️
Luckily I secured a position with Shared Services Canada last summer and started right after a beautiful trip to Baff National Park with friends. When the hybrid work model started this year, I got transferred to a new branch and started working as HR Assistant. For the past few weeks, I have been working three days at home and two days in a downtown office. I totally enjoyed the variety and got the chance to socialize and tour downtown during my lunch hour.
I like my team a lot and I have learned so much from my colleagues 👍👍👍
A better opportunity knocked on the door earlier this year and I answered it without hesitation 🚪🚪🚪
I am grateful for the people who help me to get where I am now and writing this is one way to show my gratitude.
Learning has been my passion and I would like to take this new opportunity to learn, grow and help others 🏫🏫🏫
Thank you all who have been on this amazing journey with me. I feel so blessed 🥰🥰🥰
