I moved to Montreal in August 2004, Mont Royal was the first place we explored. I remember going there often with the kids until they got bored and didn't want to come with me unless I agreed to go their "ways" up (through various tricky shortcuts).
Luckily, I had a few jobs in downtown after we moved away.
Mont Royal was my favorite place during my lunch hour.
Sometimes five days a week, no matter the season.
I can not believe that it has been more than two years since I last visited Mont Royal.
When my sister came to visit in summer 2019, one morning in July, we were dropped off at the bottom of status (top left photo). That was the last time.
It felt so good to revisit such a beautiful place on a gorgeous day.
It brought back a lot of sweet memories.
Bottom left photo is the chalet, the center point of Mont Royal, where you can see the landscape of downtown (Top right photo). It is a must-see point of interest.
I remembered I used to go up with my kids, right on the front porch of the chalet, I would do my daily 1000 skipping rope jump, while my kids playing Uno on the floor next to me.
They served as my shield so I wouldn't feel too embarrassed to do what I did.
Bottom right photo is the full view of Beaver Lake , a picturesque place that stands out in any season. We had many Toastmasters summer social activities there. I went skating at the rink near the Beaver Lake Pavilion.
Today's achievement: 26004 steps = 19.82 km
