That was the title of an article I wrote for McGill CAPS Scroop (McGill Career and Placement Service) in 2007. I reposted on LinkedIn last month and got positive feedback about the relevance of the message. I do believe that networking is about building relationships, not just attending networking events, and collecting business cards.
I expanded my LinkedIn network quite substantially since February (now 564 connections). My next step is to build some meaningful relationships starting with me asking for some advice and insights.
