Sweet Coincidences

On Monday, Sept. 21, I wrote a post titled Sweet Sixteen to bid farewell for my son's departure for the united states.

The same day, the weekly email I received from Grammarly awarded me with a new badge called: Sweet 16.

The message says: "You have a sweet 16-week writing streak going! You are definitely on your way to a productivity grand slam."

What a sweet coincidence 🤩.

A day after I picked up a book "Stillness is the key" by Ryan Holiday from the library, I experienced A Day Without Power. There wasn't much one can do without the power. Fortunately, it was a beautiful sunny day, I read a book outside under the tree and enjoyed an hour of stillness.

I also experienced an hour of driving with the silence around me one day when I headed to the park to meet with friends. I got in the car, started the car, and for some reason, the radio didn't come on. I tried my MP3, nothing came on either. For the whole hour, there wasn't any sound inside the car, it seemed all went still. During that silent hour, I learned to calm down my nerves and to appreciate the silence while driving, that was the first time.

"It is hard to believe in coincidence, but it is even harder to believe in anything else." John Green.

"I don't believe in coincidence. I know there is a divine order to the magnificent mystery of our lives." Oprah Winfrey.

Coincidence or not, what is YOUR take?
