Today is the last day of the career summit of PowerSkills 2021.
There were Interviews, Panel Discussions, Keynote, and Interactive Workshops.
I registered for 6 and there were a total of 9.
I had to jump from one session to the other due to the tight schedule.
Here is the recap:
Bagels and Coffee with Iris Krasnow Iris Krasnow: It was inspiring, at times very funny. A session that I wish I could sit through but I did start looking for books in the library and will check out her Tedtalk
Resilience in Action: A Conversation with Immigrant Leaders Isaac Garcia-Sitton, Ajibola Abitoye, Fariba Pacheleh, Amit Brahme, Conny Lo: I like the diversity of the speakers and the relevance. I heard some insightful stories
Career Transitions: How to Pivot in a Pandemic Priscilla Jabouin & Lionel Nseyep: I subscribed to her newsletter now I got to see her online. The animator could use some Toastmaster training though as he used a lot of you know
How Stories Help You Reach Happiness in Life & Business Terumi Okano: The speaker is a captivating storyteller. I wish I could stay longer for her story.
You have a Superpower! Reem Ghannoum
The Art of Persuasion: Becoming a More Persuasive Writer Zachary Abram
For me, #5 is the most engaging, energizing, entertaining and empowering session.
Words I heard and read today that stuck in my head:
The harder I work, the luckier I become. quoted by Iris Krasnow
