"You asked me that question, really?"
Well, I read an article saying that Montreal Airport was filled with people yesterday.
The article said that there were usually around 62,000 on the last Friday before Christmas, yesterday there were only 12,000.
12,000? That is still a lot. Today Quebec hit over 2000 cases the second time.
I read a story a few weeks ago about the cases on a single flight. It was unbelievable. Nobody tested positive before boarding the plane. The passengers occupied only 20% of the seats. Everybody wore a mask the whole time. No food and drink were served during the trip. At the end of the trip, more than 50% of the passengers got the virus. I don't remember how many people boarded the plane. I remember I was shocked by the number of the affected.
Covid-19 is the invisible killer.
After I typed that out. I found out there is a movie coming out soon with the same title. It reads differently though.
I don't understand the logic behind those people who choose to travel now despite the warning of avoiding non-essential travel. Is the pleasure more important or your life? or the life of your loved ones?
December 2015, around this time, my husband and I, flew to Punta Cana for a week under the sun. We enjoyed the Christmas decorations as well as the New Year's. It was my SECOND winter escape and I recorded the experience in this blog entry.
This year, we are staying in, patiently waiting for the winter to pass...
