"PowerSkills 2020 was a five-day FREE virtual career conference that included keynote speeches, workshops, webinars, panel discussions, and more. The topics covered self-development, communications, creativity, leadership, and entrepreneurship. It was organized by Career Advising & Transition Services.
For me, "PowerSkills 2020 was a feast for learning and networking.
There were 40 in total, I attended 20 of them, as a participant and a volunteer. I added close to 40 new connections.
I enjoyed every single one of them but I was most impressed by the following "most" (my take of course):
Most compelling: What it means to be Resilient. Madeline Stammen
Most engaging: Your Mentor is Your Seatbelt! Reem Ghannoum
Most intriguing: Tongue Fu! Soft Skills in Stress Times. Sam Horn
Most dynamic: 3-2-1 Jump! Daniele Silverman
Most valuable: Ask Me Anything! Panel Discussion
Most practical: Job Hunting Skills You Need During this Pandemic. Dawn Williams
Most stimulating: Noticing: The New In-Demand Skill. Carla Marrouche
Most refreshing: A Personality-based Approach to Career Planning and Development. Dr. Robert E. Saggers
Most insightful: The Art of Growth. Sonia Di Maulo
Here are three of my personal "most":
The most enriching learning experience
The most exciting networking connections
The most energizing and inspiring five days
My next step is to digest what I have learned and to build up some meaningful relationships among those new connections. A few days ago, I recorded some reflections.
"If 80 Percent of Success Is Showing Up Then 20 Percent Is Following up". Ada Hammon
If you were a part of the conference, what impressed you the most?
