On New Year's day 2018, I received a text from A Beautiful Friend in the Neighborhood: "Happy New Year, darling. What are your New Year's resolutions?"
Well, I didn't make any but her text made me reflect on my life. I wrote down those reflections and they became: An A to Z Self-Reflection. It was the first article of my two and half year monthly writing project. When I wrote for my son's birthday and graduation last June, I had a total of 30 articles under my belt. They are also the initial reason behind my blog because I want to find a place to store those monthly articles.
I do have her to thank for starting this fulfilling writing journey.
On the last day of 2020, she wrote: "Thank you for 2020. You inspired me to do my 10,000 steps daily. Let's keep encouraging each other in 2021. 遇见更好的自己".
I couldn't agree with her more.
A group of us like to meet regularly through fun activities, like playing cards, having a picnic in the park, or sharing interesting readings. We started way before the pandemic hit us. This morning we had our first gathering on Zoom.
What a nice way to celebrate the New Year 🎈🎈🎈.
