The first time we met, it was more than a decade ago, it was at McGill Toastmasters Club's joint meeting with Concordia Club. She was a member of the Concordia Club. I remembered she approached me after the meeting and said "I like your style". After hearing her say that, I decided to like her back.
What's not to like her? She is a pretty, pleasant, soft-spoken person who seems shy away from many things, yet, she got married not too long after she met her "better half, best friend and her soul mate all three in one" (her words, as you will read in the attached).
I accepted her request to give the toast at her wedding after she told me that I was her best friend in Canada. That was July 18, 2010.
We became neighbors in 2016 and she rejoined Toastmasters this summer (joined once in 2010). Now we meet online every Tuesday at Toastmasters meetings and in-person from time to time when we bump into each other during the morning walk.
She has a youthful-looking face, a sweet bubbly personality, and a quiet gentle soul, Her name is Mina Tian.
She is A Beautiful Friend in the Neighborhood.
