A Little Mixed-up

Writer: Angela Angela

Yes, that is me. I was a little mixed up for the past few days about the dates.

Yesterday was Wednesday but somehow I thought it was Thursday and I was supposed to write about "Networking". Since I just wrote about "A New Connection" a few days ago, I wrote about a beautiful sunset I encountered.

When my blogging has reached a milestone on Tuesday, I thought we were on Wednesday. I normally recommend "Book of the week" on Wednesdays because that was the category I set up for myself for Wednesdays. "Reading can wait but not Celebration, 500, that is a big deal". That was my thinking behind.

I shared my 500 on both Facebook and LinkedIn. I am amazed to read that there are 439 views of my post in the feed and some emojis reactions.

While I am pleased with the outcome, I am more pleased with the promise I have kept to myself: a promise to keep writing, living, and improving...I did it for 500 days and will continue doing that

“I feel keeping a promise to yourself is a direct reflection of the love you have for yourself. I used to make promises to myself and find them easy to break. Today, I love myself enough to not only make a promise to myself, but I love myself enough to keep that promise.” Steve Maraboli

“Promises are like crying babies in a theater, they should be carried out at once.” Norman Vincent Peale

Do you give promises to yourself sometimes? How often do you keep them?
