It was past 6:00 p.m. when I sat down in front of the computer and started writing my blog.
Wow, that was the first time this week that I didn't touch the computer all day.
It didn't mean that I stayed away from my phone all day. That hasn't happened...yet.
It was a beautiful sunny day. I went out for my solo walk in the neighborhood after 9:30 am and stayed outside till after 11:00. I listened to a new audiobook, reflected on my speech next Tuesday, and chatted with two friends: one through the phone, the other through distance walking (she lives in the neighborhood).
By the time I returned home, I reached my daily goal of 10,000 steps and took first place in my ten people Fitbit Weekend Warrior walking group.
After lunch, I went out with my hubby for my second walk in Laval Centre De La Nature. It was a busy day for the park. Lots of people skating, cross-country skiing, sliding, or just walking. It became our favorite place to go over the weekend.
I added another 8,000 steps by the time I sat down for dinner: delicious vegetarian pizza.
I attended four Toastmasters meetings from last Saturday. The contest on Thursday was the longest. I stayed in front of the computer for more than four hours. It was a bit too much but I made the commitment.
Today was a perfect day to unplug and connect with oneself: to enjoy nature, to read a book, and to listen to nice songs on CD...
That is what I called: Winter Break
