What Are Your Morning Habits?

Writer: Angela Angela

They say that you don't build your future, you build your habits, and they (your habits) build your future.

In this interesting article: 12 Morning Habits Worth Developing, the author Tet listed the following morning habits that one should develop.

My self-evaluations are writings after bold texts:

  1. Wake up earlier: It was easier for me in the summer but I still try to get up before 8:00 during the week

  2. Drink water: I do, even during the night. Warm water is always within reach

  3. Write things down: I usually do that the night before, sometimes in the morning

  4. Read: "listening is the new reading", Audiobooks are my best walking companions but I do try to read some paperback books too

  5. Practice mindfulness: When I am out in nature. I look up the blue sky, admire the colorful trees and I take time to breathe in crispy fall air...

  6. Stretch or exercise: My bottom line is 10,000 steps daily and I passed that line with flying colors. Walking is my daily exercise, 15,000 is my daily average since Dec. 2016

  7. Eat a healthy breakfast: Oatmeal is my favorite one

  8. Express gratitude: I need to work on this one

  9. Say your affirmation: I ask Alexa for my daily affirmation when I wake up and I repeat after her

  10. Connect with loved ones: I do call my sister and my friends regularly

  11. Ask yourself important questions: e.g."What is worth smiling about right now?"

  12. Identify your most important task and do it: Yes. I will identify that from now on and "Just Do It."
