"It is not happy people who are grateful, it is grateful people who are happy"
I don't know who said that but I couldn't agree more with it.
Gratitude is something I believe in and practice. I wrote an article in June 2018 titled "A Month of Gratitude" and another one in December 2019 titled "31 Days of Gratitude" to reflect and reinforce my belief.
The photo for this article was a little gift I received when I worked as an Administrative and Student Affairs Coordinator with the Faculty of Religious Studies, McGill University. Each of the admin staff would receive an anonymous gift in her mailbox on Valentine's Day. That cute plate was sitting in my mailbox that day. I love the gift and treasure more the meaning behind the words. Today it is still sitting on my desk serving as a reminder that I was part of someone's gratitude, each day there is someone who becomes the reason I am grateful for.
Yesterday I reached out to some friends on WeChat. I was thrilled to get 8 new subscribers to my blog. I am truly grateful for the support and trust. I am more motivated to write better by reading more and learning more from others.
Believe it or not, having a grateful heart is the basis for having a happy heart.
