It was my second trip to San Francisco in a little over two months, it was for a BIG event: my daughter's wedding.
The date was October 19, 2019. I documented the event in the attached. I "borrowed" the ceremony speech from the wedding host and my son's toast. I also included a page of wedding pictures to decorate my article. I could replay many beautiful moments of that day in my head. It was the most beautiful wedding I have attended: my own daughter got married to a wonderful young man.
There was time to explore the city also. My husband and I, we did tour the city. We took the Big Bus Hop-on Hop-off tour: riding the double-decker sightseeing bus to SF's most famous landmarks. We walked around at big-name attractions like Pier 39, China Town, and Golden Gate.
The most memorable one was the trip to Alcatraz. We bought the tickets in advance. We relived the history through the audio-guided walking tour and our own eyes. Watching a TV series called "Alcatraz" after we returned Montreal brought back the excitement. My husband would point a place from time to time and say "we were there, we were there, remember?"
The weather was pleasant when we were there. Sometimes I wonder if that is the major reason my daughter left Montreal (it is too cold, I heard that from her). I don't blame her, the weather might be the biggest attraction to many who complain about the long winter. Have you heard of this quote?
"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." Mark Twain
