I love to travel. The idea of leaving your comfort zone and heading into the unknown is an adventure that excites me. Life is an adventure.
The ideal job is a job that involves traveling. When asked, "What is the purpose, business or pleasure?", I answer both. Business and pleasure, the mix sounds pleasant, doesn't it? You get paid to discover the best of the city, at least that is what I think.
It did happen many years ago when I was fresh out of college, I went on a trip touring a few famous cities in China as part of my job of liaising between my party and a group of delegates from Taiwan. It was fun. That is the only job I had though that involved travel.
Most of my travels are pretty much all for "pleasure". They offer fresh perspectives as I was told by frequent travelers whose job made them so, they rarely had the mood for "pleasure" due to the stress of the "business travel".
I had the pleasure to visit San Francisco twice last year and I wrote two articles about the trips. I went with my sister in August (was on a plane heading there at this very moment last year). The second trip in October was for her wedding (article to follow).
It was a lovely city. My first impression was decorated with many highlights. You will read them all in the attached article.
"San Francisco is the only city I can think of that can survive all the things you people are doing to it and still look beautiful". Frank Sinatra
