Have you heard of a quote by Marcel Proust?
"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes."
I have been working on having new eyes since the beginning of this year, especially after March. I was lucky that I took a cruise trip in January before the chaos of the COVID-19 started.
When I took my walk this morning, I stopped at this photo when I passed by. That was not the first time I passed by the same bus stop, but it was the first time I really noticed and reflected on what was presented in front of my eyes. It is the first time I applied what I have learned in the webinar by Carla Marrouche: Noticing: The New In-Demand Skill.
Believe it or not, "Awareness of self, others, and the surrounding environment or systemic connections all starts with noticing".
I realized that I should have paid more attention to the beauty around me, rather than seek far and beyond for the unreachable.
I live in a beautiful province called Quebec,
My newly found beauty in the city of Montreal is Parc Maisonneuve. Yesterday it was my #5th trip this summer to visit and to enjoy a day of tranquility and playful time with friends. it was one of my weekly highlights this summer. I truly appreciate such a place where I can just breathe in all the positive energy and listen to what Mother Nature has to say. Listen...
"Mother Nature is always speaking. She speaks in a language understood within the peaceful mind of the sincere observer." Radhanath Swami
