How is your week?
Did you remember to slow down from time to time and smell the flowers?
Did you take the time to celebrate what is worth celebrating in your life?
Nayo Gariepy, a Career & Transition Advisor from McGill University, posted a video on LinkedIn to acknowledge the contribution of volunteers for McGill Career Advising & Transition Services (CATS), School of Continuing Studies (SCS).
My name was mentioned in his writing. What an honor!
I have benefited a lot from their diverse services, especially individual advising sessions.
During one session, Nayo told me about the language learning app called Duolingo.
Yesterday was my day 100 since I started learning French a bit each and every day.
This week also marked the first full week of my transition. Something definitely worth celebrating...
A brand new chapter in my life.
I know that means a lot of new things to learn, a lot of new people to meet.
I am super excited.
Even though it is a bit of adjustment.
I used to walk outside for one to two hours every day.
I didn't sit in front of the computer much during the day.
It was even a bit challenging to reach 10,000 steps during the last two rainy days. I did it anyway.
I am determined to settle in as quickly as I can, to learn as much as I can, even though it means I have to use weekends for some training and learning.
I am very grateful for the opportunity and today I reflect and celebrate what is worth celebrating this week.
What about you?
What are you celebrating?
