It grew out of a single club founded in Oct. 1924
It began admitting women only in 1973
Helen Blanchard is the Toastmasters Internationa's first female President in 1985
The ratio of Toastmasters today: female 52% and 48% male
Notable corporate clubs include Apple, IBM, Google, AT&T, Toyota, Disney
Level of education: 78% of members have a bachelor's degree or higher, 39% of members have a master's degree or higher
