Did you know that new connections could be your unique sources of joy?
Last week, I invited one of my new connections to my club to speak. She not only provided a remarkable speech but also provided valuable feedback for McGill Toastmasters on LinkedIn.
"It was my absolute pleasure to attend McGill Toastmasters Club in Montreal, Canada," she wrote. "Thank you for the invitation to speak last night. They are a very welcoming and thorough club (especially regarding their evaluations and role explanations for guests and new members)." If you have never attended a Toastmasters meeting, or are interested in visiting another club, contact them for more information. I had a great time".
The feedback was free Public Relations for our club. I felt proud and joyful when I read that. I accepted her invitation to attend her club meeting.
Last night, three of my McGill co-members had the pleasure of attending a "backward" Toastmasters meeting, and it was fun.
This strengthens my belief that new connections can be new sources of joy.
I am even more grateful and happy when I received such heartwarming blessings on my birthday. It came from a connection I made in August. She became a McGill Club member because I took that first step to invite her to join us.
"I wish you all the abundance and blessings in your life. You have one of a kind soul and spirit that lights up every corner of every place you are in. Stay true to your roots and enjoy what life has got for you".
New connections: new sources of joy.
