“I would maintain that thanks are the highest form of thought and that gratitude is happiness doubled by wonder.” G.k. Chesterton
Today I am grateful for the following:
I had a pleasant conversation with a "friend" I have not met, yet we had our preferred "ways" of communication. I practiced my French and she practiced her English. her encouraging words give me more motivation to practice. At the end of our conversation, we set up a date for next Saturday. I am grateful!
I had my first Covid-19 vaccine thanks to our efficient health system. I salute those who work in the front line and help save people's lives. They are the real heroes in this battle. I am grateful!
Today is May 8, one month ago, on April 8, I started a brand new chapter in my life. I started my dream job. In a month, I have learned so much and I have met many wonderful colleagues. I feel a sense of belonging. For people who helped me get this far, for people who are helping and will help me to advance more, I am grateful!
When we were at Costco today, for some reason, my hubby brought me a bouquet of flowers with yellow roses. They say that yellow roses are a symbol of friendship and caring. For his thoughtfulness. I am grateful!
For an unexpected call and a special delivery late this afternoon, I am ecstatic. I am grateful!
“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
