Last Friday, I went to the cinema to celebrate the 100 entries of my blog.
I went alone but I didn't expect that I was the ONLY one in the theatre where it could hold 250 people.
It became a private viewing, paid with only half of the regular points. I was dancing when the music came on in the movie and had a blast all by myself.
Watching a movie at the cinema is my favorite pastime. Here are a few pleasant encounters:
There were only four of us in the cinema, I and a friend served as interpreters for another friend's parents who don't understand English. It was Spy Kids 4, my first 4D experience,
I had dinner with three girlfriends before a movie. I traded my points for their tickets and they shared my dinner bill. It was a fair trade because I was often rich in points,
It was a regular activity I had with Anna when we were neighbors. I invited her to a movie and she paid for my meal. After the movie, we walked home.
Before Anna, I used to walk to the cinema alone over the weekend to catch an early bird $6.00 movie. It was an hour-long 5 km walk. I remember once when I got to the ticket booth, the lady before me had an invitation for two for a movie. I was next in line and that movie was the one I wanted to watch. So I watched that movie...for free as her last-minute invitee. It was the best documentary I have even seen.
What is your favorite pastime?
