The last few days have been hot and sticky, some days my room temperature reached 30 degrees.
Here is what I did to escape the heat AFTER work. I didn't turn on my computer at all.
On Tuesday, I went to see a movie.
On Wednesday, I played badminton, took a shower in the sports center, had a cold drink at Tim Horton, and then watched fireworks with a friend.
On Thursday, I tried the newly renovated swimming pool for the first time and it was only around ten people. It was very refreshing: my first swimming this summer. There were three guards on duty. It felt super safe. After the swimming, I went to the library and spent an hour there until its closing time at 9:00.
I went back to the swimming pool again after work on Friday. I even bought the cap and a pair of goggles. To me, swimming is an excellent way of escaping heat.
Believe it or not, I went back to the pool again on Saturday, my third day in a row. My first stop was Botanical Garden, for a walk and a picnic by the lake. My second stop was the swimming pool, followed by watching an episode of my favorite show on Netflix in the lobby. My third stop was a relaxing stay in a nearby Montreal library. I picked up a movie I reserved, borrowed a book about French grammar, and stayed till 5:00 pm.
Today was a day of playing cards with friends in an AC environment. I left home at 8:00 am and came back at 9:00 pm.
What about you?
