Happy Halloween

My daughter was five when she came to Canada, she dressed up as a cat at her first Halloween experience. We went Trick or Treat with a friend and her daughter. I don't remember if we had a photo. There weren't cellphones.

When my son was little, he used to dress up something simple: a witch, a ghost, or a nerd. He did that himself: glasses, T-shirt tucked in a PJ pant. I have to say, he looked pretty much like a nerd and I do have a photo.

The most expensive costume I bought him is the Darth Vader. We biked from downtown all the way to a Toys R Us store located 15 km away. He was young and his bike was a kid's bike. It wasn't an easy trip but we did it. After we bought the costume (around $20.00), we had lunch at the food court in a nearby shopping mall. I remembered that he bargained with me about not biking but taking the metro home as he was really tired. I didn't want to give in easily but I had to when we walked out of the food court. Our bikes were locked together when we went in but my bike was nowhere to be found. My bike was stolen. That is why that was the most expensive costume.

I did dress up sometimes for Toastmasters meetings. I borrowed the costumes though (the left and the bottom right photo). The top right photo was taken in front of the store at the Cirque du Soleil show that I "borrowed" just for a photo.

Have a fang-tastic night!
