According to Wikipedia: Friday the 13th is considered an unlucky day in Western superstition. It occurs when the 13th day of the month in the Gregorian calendar falls on a Friday, which happens at least once every year but can occur up to three times in the same year.
I celebrate May 13 each year, doesn't matter which day of the week it falls. It has a very special meaning for me because I arrived in Canada on May 13, 1997. It was a Tuesday that year.
Here are a few milestones since I came to Canada:
I created a new life in 1998. My son was born on June 1, 1998
I moved to Montreal with my kids in August 2004
I got my Master's Degree from McGill University in November 2006
I held a job at McGill here and there from 2006 to 2010
I moved into a condo I bought on August 18, 2007
I studied French full-time for a year from 2015 to 2016
I started working in September 2016 and got married again in December 2016
My daughter got married in October 2019
My son started working for Google in October 2021
From April 8, 2021, I started my dream job: working for the Canadian government
I moved back to my condo on May 1, 2022
My kids are coming to see me in a few weeks...

Well said, don't you agree?
