Are you familiar with that saying?
I did not know there is a Wikipedia page dedicated to this.
According to it: "Fake it till you make it" (or "Fake it until you make it") is an English aphorism that suggests that by imitating confidence, competence, and an optimistic mindset, a person can realize those qualities in their real life and achieve the results they seek.
That is exactly the mindset I need for tonight's meeting.
I am giving a speech, my #4 speech after I started my Executive Coaching Pathway last December.
I invited a few friends to help boost my confidence. It will be the first time I present my speech using PowerPoint since we started online meetings.
When you talk, you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new. Dalai Lama
That is the other Toastmasters element I love. For the whole hour and a half, I will only talk for 5 to 7 minutes, I would be listening to others for the rest of the time.
I do learn something new, EACH and EVERY time.
That is why I am relentlessly promoting Toastmasters week after week.
Come and join us today. Guests are always welcome.
