I used to write about Toastmasters on Mondays or Tuesdays, normally once a week, to promote our weekly meeting and to inspire others to join.
I have not been that active in the meeting lately due to the shift of my focus. I only took a small role at the meeting. I signed up for Public Speaking Tip for today's meeting and here is what I found on the web.
Dress the part. Even though participants can usually only see you from the shoulders up, wear something that looks great on you from the waist up. In fact, the better you dress from head to toe, the better your posture will be and the better you’ll feel, in general. When you feel better, you’re a more relaxed and more confident presenter.
I did dress up for my role and I saw many others did too.
Our creative Toastmasters brought music during the break and after the break. I loved it!
It added flavor and excitement to our meeting.
I invited one of my walking buddies to join us and she enjoyed it too. She was even talking about making the commitment maybe from October.
That is another benefit I like about Toastmasters: networking opportunities.
I have made many wonderful friends through Toastmasters and I love dressing up for Toastmasters.
Below is a photo from Christmas Social 2014.
I love it when we all dressed up, don't you?
