Do you know that 80% of New Year resolutions fail by mid-February?
No wonder I don't make New Year resolutions anymore. Guess I don't want to fail.😊
Do you know that you can make SMART goals that will increase your chance of success?
There is a different acronym for the word SMART:
S: specific, sensible, significant (answer the six "W" questions)
M: measurable, meaningful, motivating (answer "how much", "how many" etc)
A: attainable, agreed, achievable (see how much effort it will require)
R: relevant, reasonable, resourced, result-based, realistic
T: time-bound, time-based, time-limited, time-sensitive,timely
I read that some people added two more letters to make it SMARTER:
E: being evaluated (at the end of the week, month)
R: being reviewed (at the end of three months or half a year)
I do have a few SMART goals set for myself for 2021. Goals related to my personal and professional growth.
A few daily goals: 10,000 steps, blogging, meditation, and studying French
A weekly and monthly goal for Toastmasters: regular attendance and one speech per month
A yearly goal for French: being bilingual or be a real Intermediate Level
