Digital Wellness

That is the first time I heard such a phrase.

Have you heard such a saying before? How do you answer the following questions:

  1. Are you in control of your online life?

  2. How many hours per day do you spend on social media? Does it affect your mood?

  3. What about swatting? Or doxing? How do you protect your privacy?

Let me tackle the questions one by one:

How do I control my online life? I try not to spend much time sitting in front of the screen after my obligated working hours.

I write my daily blog, check Instagram or Facebook when my kids post something. Sometimes I also check for job postings on Facebook or LinkedIn.

How many hours? one to two hours outside work in general on weekdays, except when I watch the Chinese TV show (only available through the internet, unfortunately).

Does it affect my mood? Absolutely, yesterday after one episode of the Chinese show, I cried like a baby😭😭😭

I had to watch a funny French movie 📽️📽️📽️

Le grand méchant loup ( The big bad wolf) did cheer me up. 😀😀

For the last question, my experience is NOT to accept invitations from strangers on Facebook. Linkedin is another story.

I just published my second post on McGill Toastmasters' website. 🎈🌼🎈

Now I need to pick one tip from this article for tomorrow for my role of Public Speaking Tip.
