Book of the Week (#33): Food: What the Heck Do I Eat?

The book has a catchy title. That is why I borrowed it from the library.


The writer is also a doctor by profession. There are nutrition quizzes at the beginning of each chapter.


Here are some True or False statements that I found both informative and interesting. Write down your answers on a piece of paper and see how many you get right.

  12. Tomatoes can create inflammation in the body

  13. Bananas are the best natural source of potassium

  14. some of the most nutritious vegetables are weird ones, like seaweed

  15. Buying organic is a waste of money

  16. Frozen berries are better for you than fresh

  17. Apples are the most nutritious fruit. One a day keeps the doctor away

  18. Pomegranates are one of the best fruits you can eat

  19. Beans contain toxins that can’t be avoided (T & F)

  20. Pistachios can help with erectile dysfunction

  21. Peanut butter is a good source of protein

  22. Coffee is the top source of antioxidants for many people

The odd number statements are false. The even number statements are true.
