The book was recommended at PowerSkill 2020, by one of the speakers. I placed a hold at the library and it took me quite some time to finally get it.
It was the second book I read written by Brene Brown. The first book was Daring Greatly.
The book was named one of the best books of the year by Bloomberg.
Here are some amazing quotes from this book:
At the end of the day, at the end of the week, at the end of my life, I want to say I contributed more than I criticized.
I define a leader as anyone who takes responsibility for finding the potential in people and processes, and who has the courage to develop that potential.
The courage to be vulnerable is not about winning or losing, it’s about the courage to show up when you can’t predict or control the outcome.
We fail the minute we let someone else define success for us.
Daring leaders work to make sure people can be themselves and feel a sense of belonging.
To be the person who we long to be—we must again be vulnerable. We must take off the armor, put down the weapons, show up, and let ourselves be seen.
Choose courage over comfort
No trust, no connection.
The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.
If you have not read it, it is highly recommended.
