The book was written by innovative researcher Shaunti Feldhahn.
I read it last year before I started my blog, that is why I didn't recommend this book on my blog.
An email from a friend made me want to borrow it again from the library.
"I had a thought about the word Kindness and how it is defined. There are so many ways to show kindness, a gesture, a word, a thought, a smile. Kindness has been on my mind.
Do you have any thoughts about that word? What it means and how we can integrate it into our everyday life. Thank you for being you, Angela."
Yes, there are indeed so many ways to show kindness. Reading a book about kindness could be one way of showing kindness to oneself.
On this site, there is even an assessment test called: What is Your Kindness Quotient?
I did the test and got 30 out of 5o, not a great score, considering how many more categories ahead of me.
"You have many moments of great kindness, but you can also be irritated, harsh, or unkind under pressure. You are on the bubble. Take great care in pressure situations to avoid bringing out your darker side and instead bring out your best. With attention to kindness, you have great power to transform the darkness."
You can take a test too before reading the book and taking on the 3o day challenge.
