Book of the Week (#12): The Path Made Clear

Updated: Mar 31, 2021

The full title is: The path made clear: discovering your life's direction and purpose.

It is a paperback from the library. I like the feel of having a book in hand and reading by the bedlight at night.

As said by the author, my all-time idol, Oprah Winfrey, everyone has a purpose and according to her: "Your real job in life is to figure out as soon as possible what that is, who you are meant to be, and begin to honor your calling in the best way possible."

Finding my purpose is the key reason I picked up this book.

The book indeed serves as a guide for "activating your deepest vision of yourself, offering the framework for creating not just a life of success, but one of significance".

There are ten chapters in this book and they are organized in a way to help the readers recognize the important milestones along with the road to self-discovery. Each chapter starts with the author sharing her own key lessons and personal stories. They are heart-warming stories and very relatable. Then she brings together wisdom and insights from luminaries in the wide array of fields. Many names are unknown to me and I had to look them up in the reference area of the book but I did learn a lot from reading those materials. The lessons shared from those renowned figures are inspiring to others to live a life filled with purpose.

The book was beautifully put together with stunning photographs. That is the element one can not experience with audiobooks.

It is a book worth reading over and over again.
