Facebook has a feature called "memories". It reminds you of what happened on this day, but years before.

On July 26, 2009, I wrote:
"Is back from a definitely over 100 km bike ride (first time ever) plus being rescued by a friend at Laval Metro (no bike on Metro after 6:00 pm) plus dancing a few beautiful dances under the stars plus seeing the fireworks while dancing plus a sleepover at a friend's lovely place".
That friend added a comment: u forgot + having a snack by candlelight in balcony + chatting till 2am...
That was the first long bike ride I had with a group of people. Before that 100 km, all I did was a 50 km Tour de l'Île a year before. I remember when I spoke with the organizer, he had doubts about my ability to keep up with a bunch of "regular bikers who trained often". I wasn't sure about myself either but I did it. Not only that, one of the lady bikers wrote an article about it and I was delighted to read about me (highlighted in yellow). The organizer was convinced by my ability at the end of the trip.

I missed those long biking trips. It was a lot of fun.
