It is rare that I write two pieces in a row under the same category, today is special thus the exception.
Yesterday I promoted our Open House both on LinkedIn and Facebook.
With other social media promotions by our dedicated executive team plus word of mouth, this evening we had a very pleasant turnout.
In fact, we had the highest number in attendance since we went online. 35 people with almost half are first-time guests or returning visitors.
It was a wonderful meeting.
Our VP Membership plus VP Public Relations, our own Energy Bomb Reem chaired a great part of our exciting evening. She was awarded a new nickname by our Madam General Evaluator, Energizing Bunny. Way to go, 🐰🐰🐰!
Two speakers, Nadia and Sifa, each gave an exceptional speech about their amazing Toastmasters journey. The speeches couldn't be more suitable for this occasion.
Word of the day "Bloom" was chosen by our grammarian and a past member, Queen of Table Topics as I always call her, Rosalia, she brought humor and insight to her grammarian report. I can't believe it was her first online TM experience. Her last visit was in BC (Before Covid as she put it).
Table Topics Master was our two-time DTM, Louise-Veronique. She prepared 5 questions specially made for the Open House and called the right person for each question. The segment felt like a special treat.
Lila and myself were called to give testimonials at the end of the meeting. As long-standing members of this club, I summarized my experience in this acronym: DEEP.
Diversity, Energy, Enjoyment, and Progress.
Dive DEEP, it is totally worthwhile!
