I have visited Quebec city a few times since I moved to Montreal in 2004, including its famous Winter Carnival and a romantic ride in a horse-drawn carriage.
The rich history of the city fascinated me and I was also very much drawn by the charm and beauty of Old Quebec City.
Walking around the part of that old Quebec city became a must and enjoyment when I visited each time.
I got invited by a friend unexpectedly for an overnight trip (Leaving Friday afternoon and returning Saturday afternoon). I gladly accepted. It is a city I always had the pleasure of visiting, so why not now?
The three-hour trip was easy and fun with music and animated conversations.
The Airbnb we stayed in was a clean cozy place, located only 15 minutes away from Fairmount Le Chateau Frontenac.
We walked around a few hours after we settled and before we sat down for dinner. Because I already reached my daily steps goal before I started the trip, I got a Minions Bob badge from Fitbit by the end of the day (Friday) for walking over 34,749 steps, the highest ever that I remember. I am super proud!
Today before we went out for breakfast, the rain started and washed the city thoroughly, the sun and the blue sky came back. Our short walk stretched into a long one as we were carried away by the beauty of what came into view.
I walked back to Old Quebec City again after brunch and watched an impressive performance by a talented street artist.
I wish I could have stayed longer to soak more in the sweetness of summer.
