The photo for this post was taken on August 3 (today) but 14 years ago, 2007.
It was a fun time I had with a few Toastmasters friends for a drink on a rooftop terrace located in Old Montreal.
I was younger, joined Toastmasters only for a few years, super enthusiastic about Toastmasters and the amazing networking opportunities. I made many wonderful friends.
I rarely miss any meetings.
Tonight I stayed only for half of the meeting because I had to send an application.
I have to focus on what is more important at this point in life.
I wish that I had planned better for the exit.
I did reach out to a few people at work to reveal my intention of staying on if possible.
I love what I am doing and I am hoping for the best possible result for the next two weeks. I know that I have to try my best, then I will leave the rest in the hand of the all-mighty God.
No matter what the result is, I am grateful for the opportunity of contributing what have known, learning so many new things, and connecting with everyone I have come across virtually for the last four months.
“Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity...it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” Melody Beattie
