Nadia asked me yesterday on Wechat: if we don't find a chairperson by tonight, could you do it?
I wrote back: OK.
When I got online at 5:30 and asked VP Education: who is the chairperson for tonight? She responded: I thought it is YOU!
I didn't know that they didn't find a chairperson so I didn't really prepare for the role. On the other hand, it is a role that I have performed many times. Ten minutes before 5:45, I started preparing for my role and I did well, as per General Evaluator's word. 😀👍😀
We had 16 people at one point, small attendance but all diligent members. The word Diligent was the word of the day and I was told I used it the most. That was a nice surprise.
The nicer surprise was from one of the speeches tonight. 1/3 of her speech was dedicated to me, her mentor at one point. She mentioned three people in her speech and I was the first and the most flattered. The other two were not here tonight, unfortunately.
Thank YOU Nadia, your improvement in the past few years couldn't make any mentor more proud. Your dedication as the club president is even more commendable. I am honored to be part of your journey...
