I started the year 2022 with an intention of creating a new daily habit: 5-15 minutes of morning meditation, guided, of course.
There are so many free videos out there, all I need is to find a few and stick to them.
I did and so far so good.
If I wake up before my Alexa wakes me at 6:45, I would choose a 10-15 minutes video, if I feel lazy or wake up when the alarm sets off, I will go with a shorter one, yes, there is something that lasts only 5 minutes but the positive impact might last you the whole day.
At least that is what I am aiming for: starting a day on the right foot with a short meditation.
I came across this article which talks about the five reasons why one should start a day with a morning medication:
How you start your day is how you live your day: a morning meditation will set the tone for a calm, mindful, and productive day
You are less likely to make excuses in the morning
You will be more productive at work: meditation increases your ability to focus, improves your attention, and advances your ability to come up with creative solutions to problems
You will feel more in control of your life: you will create the mindset you want to bring into your daily activities by starting the day feeling grounded, aware, and clear-headed
Ancient wisdom suggests meditation as a morning ritual
I agree with the author of the article and that is why I want to continue doing it.
What about you? What are some of the new habits you want to develop this year?
