My kids are here, so I am taking two days off from work. It feels like a mini-vacation.
The last time when I saw them both, it was at my daughter's wedding in October 2019.
Time flies, three years have gone by.
I am grateful for having them both at last, even just for a few days.
We went to the Museum of Fine Arts, and my son joined us briefly for a talk and walk. After, we had a girls' only Mani-Pedi care sitting on a massage chair and mother-daughter went for a healthy salad dish for lunch. We saw a movie (Tuesday special), for the second day in a row.
After we arrived home, my daughter started a project of putting 1000 pieces of pizzle together, something she used to like doing a lot since she was a little girl and she really has a knack for. Seeing all the pieces spread out on the table already makes me dizzle but seeing her enjoy putting pieces one by one feels very calming...
The puzzle is a story to be continued as there are 1000 pieces.
My mini-vacation day one comes to an end with the perfect weather, great activities plus meaningful conversations.
