I learned the lesson. I am writing my blog at 4:15 pm on my computer, sitting on the terrace of the hotel, with the amazing view of the Rocket.
Sometimes I wonder if this could be a great source of inspiration for writers: endless water, endless creativity.
That would be really nice.
Water always seems dear to me. I love listening to the sound of the waves, watching sunrise or sunset over the water, or simply reading a book by the water, or doing nothing.
We had breakfast on the terrace, which is a few inches distance to the water, it reminded me of meals on a cruise ship when we were in the middle of the ocean.
Those moments made me feel small yet wonderful.
The sunshine sneaking in (the curtain was not completely closed) around 5:30 this morning woke me up, so I got up. I walked on the wooden path by the pier before the crowds got up and joined in a few hours later.
We drove to Gaspe after breakfast, only to realize that we were there before and the weather was too warm to enjoy a walk. We came back. I just had a little nap on the way there.
The afternoon included a leisure walk and visits to various souvenir stores. I didn't find anything that screamed to me "Take me home", so I didn't buy anything.
I did enjoy lobster poutine and gourmet pizza at La Maison Du Pecheur in the middle of the afternoon, a place we passed by a few times, and there were always people waiting in line to get in.
We left the restaurant fully satisfied...
