From May 15 to this year, our First Biking Trip in 2021, to today's trip #12, we had a lot of Biking Fun.
Especially if I compared what we did last year, well, we didn't do much at all, maybe three trips max.
This year is better but most of the biking was done in the same area, 10 km on way, along the St. Lawrence river in Verdun/Lasalle,
We had a change of scene today. We went to visit a relative in a small city called Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
A place is famous for hosting International Balloon Festival for more than thirty years.
There are four of us for the biking trip, I was paired with the lady. We did bike a bit further into the city of Chambly.
I know from our last conversation that she bikes regularly in the summer, almost 10km daily if she could.
What I did not know is her age. She is 81 years old. There were times I was paddling hard to keep up with her.
And I am much much younger.
I found her career story also very inspiring. She had been a nurse since she was 20 and she just retired last year, after 60 years of service to the Health profession.
Hats off to her.
