A Beautiful Saturday

I am not a big fan of winter but I love the sunny days in winter.

Today was one of those sunny days.

I did over 21,000 steps. My goal is 10,000.

I took a walk alone in the neighborhood. I also walked with my hubby in a park nearby, a park that is reserved for local residents only. It is Le Centre de la Nature de Laval.

When I took my walk this morning, I took a break from listening to audiobooks or music, I called and talked with six friends instead.

Talking while walking in a quiet neighborhood is a great way to keep connected with friends while being apart.

I am all alone, but I am not lonely. Haruki Murakami

According to Merriam-Webster online dictionary, Solitude means: 1. the quality or state of being alone or remote from society. 2. a lonely place (such as a desert).

A friend wrote: "I am in awe and intimidated by how much technology is becoming such a big part of everyday life, I often wonder if it really will become the norm in the years to come. Regardless of how well someone can adapt to it, does it really replace the physical presence of someone?"

I share the same feelings about technology with her and my answer to her question is: No, technology will NEVER replace the physical presence of someone. It is only the second-best choice when you can NOT have that physical presence of someone.

"It doesn't matter if the glass is half empty or half full. Be thankful that you have a class and there is something in it."

Don't you agree?
