I attended another workshop at work today and it has a very interesting title: Hit the brakes before they hit the wall - mental health lessons learned through COVID that every leader should be mindful of.
The content is so relevant and it made me feel that EVERY leader, manager, or supervisor, should take the time to listen to what she had to offer.
It is something I would love to read again and make more reflections upon (the slides weren't available at the time of the presentation). I did take two screenshots from her presentation.
The first is someone's definition of "health": wholeness and balance; an inner resilience that allows you to meet the demands of living without being overwhelmed. Weil
One of the best definitions I know.
What I like most is the image for this post, the one that went viral as claimed by the speaker, the Mental Health and Resiliency Expert, founder of Work Smart Live Smart: Beverly Beuermann-King.
The take-home message is: to let go of what one can NOT control and focus on what one CAN.
Here are the things one CAN control;
My reactions
What I focus on
My attitude
Who I connect with
My exposure to negativity
What I am grateful for
My routine
How I can take care of myself
How I spend my time
What I do for fun...
